  • Providing Mortuary Freezer for all needy people in Baroda on free of cost
  • Directory – For reference of Malayalees residing at Baroda and nearby areas
  • Cash awards to students securing highest percentage of marks in HSC/SSC amongst Malayalees.
  • Hobby classes during summer vacation
  • Conducting Yoga Classes
  • Conducting Malayalam Classes with the help of Malayalam Mission, Govt. of Kerala
  • Organizing Garba Competitions with local residents of Baroda in order to have harmonial relation and oneness among them.

Memorable events :

  • Organised All Gujarat Conference of Keralites for demanding the First direct train to Kerala on August 30, 1981 and resulted in introducing the first train from Ahmedabad to Trivandrum during 1984.
  • First printed Balance sheet of Baroda Kerala Samajam released in 1986.
  • Land for the Samajam hall was purchased in 1992.
  • Udayam Bimonthly released on 15/8/1997.
  • Federation of All Gujarat Malayalee Associations (FEGMA) was inaugurated by Smt. Vilasini Ramachandran, IAS, the then Municipal Commissioner on 27-7-1997 at Baroda.
  • Constructed the Office and inaugurated by Smt. Jayaben Thakkar, Member of Parliament on 6-6-1999.
  • Organised first Keralolsavam on 30-11-2003 at Baroda in presence of Super Star, Bharat Suresh Gopi and the then Minister for Cultural Activites of Kerala, Mr. Kartikeyan.
  • Won the first position with Maximum points at Keralolsavam held at Vapi on 5-12-2004 in 2nd Time.
  • Adhoc Committee was formed on 21-3-2004 to fulfill the dream project of Multipurpose Hall.
  • Foundation Stone laid for Building Construction on 18-9-2004
  • The then Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri OomenChandi visited BKS Office on 22-3-2005.
  • BKS Hall inaugurated on 24/9/2006 by Shri P.G.J. Namboothiri, IPS, Former DGP of Gujarat.
  • Arranged Calicut Ragatharang Orchestra at Baroda on 7/10/2006 and 8/10/2006
  • Arranged stage show of Current Mohan on 17/9/2007.
  • Arranged Idea Star Singer programme on 1/3/2008.
  • Arranged various cultural programme
  • Arranged various competitions of FEGMA, FAIMA etc.
 

Yeomen Services :

  • We were the first to send clothes, tents, essential commodities at the time of Earth Quake at Kutch.
  • We have collected funds for Tsunami and sent to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Kerala.
  • Undertaken / Lead rescue operation during the Train Accident occurred at Samilaya, Near Baroda.
  • Contributed possible help to other draught victims in Rajkot.
  • Helped and given services to victim of Surat flood, Baroda Flood
  • Continuous follow up with Railway Ministry to get more trains to Kerala
  • Contributed financial support to the needy during floods in Kerala 2018
  • Sent 7 Trucks of Relief Materials to Kerala during floodsand Rs.55 lakhs given to CM Relief Fund
  • Satelite Office of NORKA Roots
  • Introduced KarunyaNidhi for medical help
  • Introduced Norka Insurance Cards to members
